Zinc Football Youth Tournament, in its endeavour to unearth the best young footballing talents of Rajasthan, reached its fourth zone Bikaner -the land of legendary Indian Football player and Arjuna Awardee Magan Singh Rajvi. Held at the Chain Singh Stadium on February 7, this never-attempted-before tournament, which is an initiative by Hindustan Zinc Limited in association with Rajasthan Football Association, saw a total of 17 teams going head to head in the presence of the legend himself Mr Magan Singh Rajvi; Mr Vikram Singh Shekhawat, Former Indian Football Team Player and Coach; Mr Bharat Purohit, President, District Football Association; Mr Arvind Singh, Secretary, District Football Association and Bhanwar Lal Khadodia, Former Indian Football Team Player.

Bikaner Football Academy won the title, defeating Bikaner Boys School 1-0 in an evenly contested final with 14-year-old Jagpal scoring the solitary goal for the undefeated team and thus, qualifying for the State Championship.

Magan Singh Rajvi, Former Indian Football Team Player and Arjuna Awardee, said, “I am very happy to see a grassroots tournament of this statute in Rajasthan. Credits to Hindustan Zinc and Zinc Football for going to all corners of the state and giving every child a chance to play.”
