Suresh Kataria, Residential Academy Head

A renowned and reputed name in the Indian Football circuits, Mr Kataria worked as Football Coach with Sports Authority of India for 31 years. Awarded with Best Men Team Sports Journalist Award in 1984, he has coached several teams over the span of his career and shown remarkable results including: the Apex Public School team that won Jatin Bedi Memorial Football Tournament continuously for three years (2001-02 to 2003-04), U-14 & U-17 teams won the Kangaroo cup, his trainee Vishwanath Sarkar was declared best player of the tournament in the 2002 U-17 Subroto cup, another trainee Vijay Dotasra (Goalkeeper) represented India in Asian School championship held at Singapore in 2002, Delhi state schools Under-14 team won Silver medal in National School Games at Chakdaha, and Silver Medal in the Rural Nationals at Bhopal in 2003. He was an active member of the Sports Ministry Task Force for Under-17 FIFA World Cup, India. He received the Best Coach Award from the SGFI President in the year 2016 -17 for his valuable contribution to the game. At present, he is the head of Residential Academy taking care of all the processes involving Administration at the Academy and Technical Training.

Gaurav Yadav, Residential Academy Manager

Adept at team management and administrative working, Gaurav has 6+ years of experience in Football coaching at both Professional and grassroots level. He has been associated with coaching and management since long and was one of the founding members of United Punjab Football Club, Punjab. He is an AFC – C licence holder in Football coaching and at present works as part of the Residential Academy. Gaurav brings with him infectious energy, smile and discipline on ground easily becoming a favourite among kids.

Pushpendra Singh, Physiotherapist

Pushpendra is a Post Graduate in Sports Physiotherapy and has Fellowship in Osteopathy. He previously worked as a clinical physiotherapist at Fitness & Sports clinic, Dehradun. His physiotherapy services have been recognized and availed in various national level sports tournament including the coveted ones such as Under 19 All India Boys Challenge Cup 2014-15, The Doon Cup 2012 & 2014, Under 14 Boys State Hockey Championship and many other state & district level tournaments. At present he is working at the Residential Academy and oversees health and fitness of the Academy kids.

Shyam Singh Shekhawat, Senior Coach

Rtd. Indian Air Force employee, Mr Shekhawat, has extensive coaching experience ranging from Football Coach for Air Force (1993-96) to National Defence Academy (1996-98). He has worked in close association with the Rajasthan Sports Council and represented Air Force in various All India & Civil Football Tournaments. His rich experience in Football and his association with reputed names like Air Force and NDA brings to TFL a breath of freshness combined with discipline and dedication for the game. His pedagogical interventions and ability to connect with a child easily gives him that magic touch with which he can refine a player’s existing skills set. Presently, he is a Senior Coach at the Residential Academy.
