Hindustan Zinc has been associated with football for more than four decades, since they organised the popular and successful football initiative, Mohan Kumar Mangalam Memorial Football Tournament at Zawar Stadium, in Udaipur, Rajasthan, in 1975. Seeing the passion commanded by the people of Rajasthan for football and in sync with the spirit of the Indian governmentβs inspiring initiative Khelo India,, Hindustan Zinc decided to set up an international level residential football academy in the region as part of its CSR programme to identify and cultivate hidden talent from the grassroots, to establish India as a global sporting powerhouse.
This project is a key initiative of Hindustan Zinc CSRβs long-term commitment to the upliftment of local communities in Rajasthan. It is our firm belief that India has a huge pool of unexplored talent, hidden in rural and tribal areas. We are committed to supporting these young talents, providing the right guidance and opportunities.
