Zinc Football Academy conceded a late penalty in the second half of the quarter-final against Sudeva Delhi FC to bow out of the Hero Under-17 Youth Cup, ending their dream run at the coveted national tournament. The match ended 2-1 in favour of the Delhi-based team.
Sudeva opened the scoring from a set-piece early in the first half.
ZFA’s defender Kaif equalized in the second half but conceded a penalty later. Our young boys came agonisingly close to find the back of the net in the dying minutes but couldn’t breach the Sudeva defense.
