A statement performance from our young footballers at the national stage.

Our ZFA girls delivered a dominant display to register an emphatic 8–2 victory over Roots FC in our second Group A fixture, securing the top spot in the group (for now) and confirming qualification for the quarter-finals of the inaugural AIFF U-17 Women’s Youth League… with one match still to play.

The game was effectively decided in a blistering first half, where ZFA raced to a 6–1 lead, showcasing attacking quality, sharp movement, and clinical finishing.

The breakthrough came as early as the 3rd minute, with midfielder Bhanu Priya, making her first start for ZFA, announcing herself in style. Spotting space from outside the box, she unleashed a powerful strike to open the scoring and set the tone for what followed.

From there, ZFA’s attacking unit took over.

Rajasthan League’s top scorer Dangi Mardi continued her exceptional form from last season, netting a brace with composed and confident finishes. Antra Dolui, recently named ZFA Best Player of 2025–26 (Girls), once again proved her class with two well-taken goals, while Sakshi also added a brace to her name. Winger Joha Khan also got on the scoresheet, capping off a complete attacking performance.

ZFA maintained control in the second half, adding two more goals to complete an 8–2 scoreline, underlining our dominance and intent in this inaugural edition of AIFF U17 Women’s Youth League.

With this result, our Zawar-based academy not only strengthens its position at the top of Group A but also books a well-deserved place in the knockout stage… an impressive achievement in the debut campaign on the national stage.

Attention now shifts to the final group match against KMP XI, scheduled for tomorrow morning at 7:00 AM. With qualification already secured, the team is expected to rotate the squad, providing opportunities while maintaining momentum heading into the quarter-finals.

Two games, two wins, and a strong statement… the journey of our young dreams is gathering pace.
