ZFA Tops Group A, Storm Into Semi-Finals on Futsal Debut.

Our Zinc Football Academy team delivered an outstanding performance in their debut appearance at the Rajasthan League Futsal Men’s 2025–26, finishing top of Group A with a perfect record to secure qualification for the semi-finals in Ganganagar, Rajasthan.

Featuring a balanced squad comprising Under-18 and senior team players, ZFA showed remarkable adaptability to the fast-paced demands of futsal, improving with each game across the group stage. The campaign began on a cautious note, as ZFA edged past Jaipur Elite FC 3–2 in a closely contested opening fixture. The match saw our team from Zawar take time to settle into the format, with conditions, pitch dynamics, and tempo posing early challenges. Goalkeeper Axay played a crucial role, producing multiple key saves in 1v1 situations to help the team secure all three points.

Building on the experience gained in the opener, ZFA returned stronger in their second fixture, registering an emphatic 8–2 victory over Jaipur Futsal Club later the same day. Improved decision-making, better cohesion, and a clearer understanding of the turf and futsal dynamics were evident as the team controlled the game with confidence.

ZFA carried this momentum into their final group stage encounter, delivering a dominant performance to defeat Rihan FA 17–0 and seal the top spot in Group A in emphatic fashion. The match also marked a significant moment, as Under-18 goalkeeper Dwiden Bodo made his official return to competitive action after over 1.5 years on the sidelines due to a PCL injury.

With three wins from three matches, ZFA head into the knockout stage full of confidence and momentum. The Hindustan Zinc’s team will face the runners-up of Group B in the semi-finals, with the opponent yet to be determined. The semi-finals and final are scheduled to be played on Saturday, May 30.
