Two from two. Top of the table.

Our Zinc Football Academy girls team continued their strong start to the Rajasthan League Senior Women’s A-Division 2025–26 campaign with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Royal FC Jaipur in Jaipur.

Despite expectations of a comfortable outing, Royal FC Jaipur proved to be a physically strong and resilient side, fighting for every ball and every minute. ZFA’s young players, however, started brightly and created multiple early chances, only to be denied by a string of outstanding saves from the Royal FC goalkeeper.

Forward Priyanka, making her debut, was forced off early due to discomfort and was replaced by Mona in the 18th minute. The change proved influential, with Mona adding sharpness in the final third. Midfielder Antra Dolui and captain Dangi Mardi were instrumental in the first half, controlling the tempo and creating opportunities, while Aaliya impressed in a midfield role. Debutant midfielder Sakshi also made a positive impact, as the coaching staff continued to rotate the squad and provide opportunities.

ZFA dominated proceedings but had to settle for a goalless first half despite their attacking intent.

The second half saw complete control from ZFA, especially in the opening 20 minutes, as our girls pinned Royal FC Jaipur deep inside their own half with sustained attacking football. The breakthrough finally arrived in the 64th minute when in-form Mona scored her third goal in two matches. She dribbled past defenders into the 18-yard box and fired a powerful low shot into the near post, beating the diving goalkeeper.

ZFA then managed the game smartly, maintaining possession and controlling the midfielder. Deep into stoppage time, defender Savita, a local talent from Zawar, produced a moment of brilliance, scoring from a long-range free-kick near the halfway line to seal the win in spectacular fashion.

With five goals scored and back-to-back clean sheets, ZFA now sit at the top of the table, marking an excellent start to their debut campaign.

Next up: Real Jaipur FC on 25th May.
