DAV HZL Senior Secondary School Zawar Mines, represented by Zinc Football Academy players, defeated Presidency School 3-0 in the final to claim the Rajasthan Under-19 CBSE Cluster title. In the six matches played, Zinc Football Academy players scored an impressive 20 goals and kept four cleansheets.
The tournament started with a comfortable 3-0 win over Harsh Convent School, followed by a 2-0 victory against Fateh Public School. In the third match, DAV HZL Zawar Mines defeated Cambridge Court High School 4-0 to book a spot in the knockout round.
The quarter-final against Sai Satnam School ended 4-1 in favour of DAV HZL Zawar Mines. The semi-final against Keshvanand School was a stern test for the Zinc Football Academy boys but managed to cling onto a 4-3 important win. The Zawar-based Academy boys were on their toes right the kick-off whistle in the final match versus Presidency School to claim the title with a 3-0 deserved win.
DAV HZL Senior Secondary School Zawar Mines will now travel to Kerala for the national round scheduled in November.
