ZFA edge past Magan Singh Rajvi FA 1-0 to keep title destiny in our own hands.

Our Zinc Football Academy’s young tigresses produced a determined and clinical performance to defeat table toppers Magan Singh Rajvi FA 1-0 in a crucial Matchday 7 encounter of the Rajasthan League Senior Women’s A-Division 2025–26, firmly keeping our title hopes alive heading into the final matchday.

In this must-win clash, ZFA entered the early morning fixture knowing that only a victory would keep us in contention for the title, while our opponents needed just a draw to strengthen their position at the top and secure the prestigious title.

The ZFA squad showed great intent from the outset, with high morale and strong belief going into the contest. The plan was clear… attack mode and make an early impact. The young side executed this approach well, applying constant pressure and creating multiple attacking opportunities in the first half.

The breakthrough finally came in the 37th minute through in-form winger Dangi Mardi, who once again stepped up with a composed finish to give ZFA a deserved 1-0 lead. The goal further boosted the team’s confidence as the young girls continued to control proceedings.

Magan Singh Rajvi FA, however, remained a threat, finding spaces in behind the defensive line on a few occasions. Goalkeeper Sonam Ghosh rose to the challenge with a series of crucial saves, ensuring ZFA maintained their narrow advantage going into halftime.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with both teams creating chances in an open and competitive contest. ZFA’s defensive unit, led by Zawar’s Manisha Patel along with Sonam, stood strong under pressure, showing resilience and composure to keep the opposition at bay.

Despite late attempts from Magan Singh Rajvi FA to find an equaliser, ZFA held firm to secure a vital clean sheet and all three points.

With this result, ZFA move to 18 points from 7 matches and remain second in the standings with one match left in the league campaign. A victory on the final matchday will see us surpass Magan Singh Rajvi FA, who currently sit on 19 points having completed all their fixtures, placing the league title firmly within reach for our girls in our debut season.
