Zinc Football Academy has qualified for the knockout round of the prestigious AIFF Under-17 Youth League, after going undefeated in Group H.
Pooled alongside Rajasthan United FC, Baroda Football Academy, ARA FC Gujarat and Sports Authority of Gujarat, the Zawar-based Academy situated at #ZincCtiy, Udaipur, won six matches and drew two, scoring 41 goals throughout the league. They also conceded just one goal in all the eight group matches.
The former Rajasthan State League Champions played out two goalless draws against Rajasthan United FC. They defeated Baroda FA 4-0 (Home) and 4-1 (Away); ARA FC Gujarat 10-0 (Home) and 4-0 (Away); Sports Authority of Gujarat 11-0 (Home) and 8-0 (Away).
Zinc Football Academy striker Prem Hansdak stands as the top scorer of the national league with 16 goals including three hattricks. Ashish Mayla registered 10 assists to his name.
ZFA will now be travelling to Shillong, Meghalaya, for the knockout rounds where the best Indian youth clubs from each group will face each other. The dates of the next round have not been disclosed by the All India Football Federation yet.
