Making their debut in the third season of the Reliance Foundation Development League, Zinc Football Academy started-off on a winning note in the North Zone Qualifiers match versus Sudeva Delhi FC. Forward Aman Khan’s brace in the first half was enough for the Hindustan Zinc’s Academy to clinch three vital points. The match ended 2-1.
In the second match, Zinc Football Academy continued their good form to defeat familiar opponents Rajasthan United FC by a solitary Aman Khan goal. The next four matches, however, ended in unfortunate defeats. Punjab FC defeated ZFA 6-0 and 6-1 in both the matches and Rajasthan United won 2-0 in the return fixture.
Pooled alongside heavyweights – Punjab FC, Delhi FC, Sudeva Delhi FC, Rajasthan United FC and AIPL FC, Zinc Football Academy will be eyeing the top two spots in the group to qualify for the next round.
